- No. The app reads location once, when a punch is made, to check it is inside the branch radius. There is no background tracking between punches.
Can someone punch in with a saved photo?
- No. The selfie must be live: the app asks for a blink and one random action, and refuses a still image or a screen.
How long are selfies kept?
- Thirty days, after which they are removed. The punch times and locations stay in the report.
What if there is no signal at the branch?
- The punch is stored on the phone, time and place included, and uploads once the phone has a connection again.

Can a staff attendance app work without internet at the punch?
- Yes. A punch made with no signal is stored on the handset with its time, its selfie and its location, and syncs the moment a connection returns. The report fills in retrospectively rather than losing the entry.
Does the attendance app drain the phone battery?
- Barely, because it does nothing between punches. There is no continuous location listening and no background service holding a connection open, which is the thing that drains a battery on tracking apps. Location is read once, at the punch.
Can I export the attendance report to Excel?
- Yes. Any view, today, seven days, this month or last month, exports to CSV, which opens straight into Excel or Google Sheets for payroll. Nothing is locked in, and you do not have to ask us to generate it.
What happens if an employee forgets to punch out?
- The day is recorded with a punch in and no punch out, so it shows clearly on the report rather than silently counting as a full day. Correcting it is a manager action from the dashboard, which leaves the original entry visible.
Is selfie attendance legal for employee monitoring in India?
- Attendance records taken with the employee's knowledge at the moment they clock in are ordinary employment practice. What matters is being open about it: tell staff what is captured, that selfies are removed after thirty days, and that location is read at the punch and not between them. We deliberately do not offer continuous tracking. For anything with legal consequence, ask a lawyer rather than a software vendor.
Can the attendance app mark half days and late arrivals automatically?
- Yes, from rules you set: working hours, a late cut-off, weekly days off, and the point at which a day counts as half. Once those are set the report applies them by itself, which is the part that saves a manager the monthly reconciliation.
